about

Poiema - that which has been made, a work, a work of the works of God as creator - the origin of our word "poem". In the NLT, one translation is "masterpiece". It was this word, with all its definitions and interpretations, that was on my mind as I wrote many of the songs for the album "Masterpiece" - obviously not suggesting that the work is a masterpiece (far from it!), rather, standing in awe of the fact that we, messy as we are, are God's *Masterpiece*! Incredible, right?

This album chronicles a period of time during which I was discovering God's creativity and His love for us in a new and deeper way. Although these discoveries are certainly not exhaustive (after all, God is infinite!), I share them with you in the hopes that they might help you know Him more . . . or, at the very least, give you something to listen to for an hour. The first option would be preferable, though.

*Please keep in mind that this album is made at home by a bunch of dedicated non-professionals. I am sorry that I am not able to provide a studio recording at this time. I am hoping that, in the future, with the support of wonderful, amazing people like you, such an endeavor will be possible. So, if you're not happy with the sound quality, I offer my deepest apologies, and humbly ask your help in making the next album sound better.*

Since then, I've been seeking after God and trying to follow Him in this, and I think He's telling me to go make music! Come along with me? ... more
